I personally love iRest yoga nidra as it is a kind practice. We are encouraged to welcome ourselves just as we are, rather than being encouraged to change or fix anything about ourselves. When I was introduced to iRest in my yoga teacher training, I felt like I had come “home”. And that is in a way what iRest does, it supports us to return to our essential nature, our home base of Being.

And the beauty of iRest yoga nidra meditation is that the meditations are done lying down – we don’t even have to hold ourselves up into a meditation seat – a real barrier for many people.

The benefits of iRest yoga nidra include:

·         Settling the nervous system so you feel more relaxed and calmer

·         Creating spaciousness where before you might have felt overwhelm and too busy

·         Learning to listen to your body signals in a much more subtle way so you can listen more deeply

Who am I?

I am a Registered Psychologist, certified iRest teacher and yoga teacher. I use iRest both in my psychology practice and as my almost daily personal practice. I also teach 8 week iRest courses funded by ACC ISSC.
